KOKLEONG'S GIANT YANKEE JOURNEY

Background info 1: NYNY has this challenge in which if you can finish the Giant Yankee Burger (8 inch wide burger served on a bed of fries, worth $32.90) within an hour, they won't charge you for the meal and your photo will even go on their wall! Only one person in the whole of Singapore (girl somemore) has managed to complete the challenge.

Background info 2: When he was in Primary 3, at a Pizza Hut buffet Kokleong polished off 3 large pizzas and a few other side dishes like garlic bread and stuff.

6.45pm Kokleong, with an entourage of 2 people, walks into NYNY at Lot 1, where everyone else is already waiting for him.

7.00pm We place orders. Friendly waitress happily dishes out cotton candy to us, and seems staggered when we inform her that Kokleong wants to try the challenge.

7.05pm Ahbeng-looking waiter comes and informs Kokleong about the rules etc of the challenge (like, must finish in 1 hour, must sit at a table by yourself) and also seems a little bowled over.

7.10pm Ahbeng-looking waiter invites Kokleong to sit at a small table near the entrance of the restaurant. We all follow to give him moral support and abandon our own food.

7.20pm Burger arrives. Burger not as big as expected but we are all stunned by the HUMONGOUS portion of fries. Kokleong starts eating. Ziyi stays by his side to watch because he is also considering trying the challenge, while the rest of us go back to finish our food.

7.30pm Kokleong polishes off half of the burger within 10 minutes.

7.35pm Kokleong says he has "heartburn" from eating too quickly, but still continues to chomp on. Waiters and waitresses look flabbergasted at the speed of his eating whenever they walk past. Ziyi decides not to try the challenge. Even I feel a bit sick just by looking at the amount of food and the speed at which Kokleong is coolly eating.

7.36pm Kokleong finishes the third quarter of his burger (1/4 of burger left!) and starts on his fries.

7.45pm Kokleong starts to slow down but is still steadily chomping on his food. Shrugs when asked how full he is. When asked, "50% full?" he says, "Around there la." Waiters all smile at Kokleong and show him the thumbs-up sign when they walk past. Ahbeng-looking waiter even comes to massage his shoulders (not in the way you are thinking!) and asks him to jiayou.

7.55pm Kokleong finishes the last of his burger and starts on his mountainous pile of fries. Starts to gulp water down because of his heartburn. The rest of us are happily eating cotton candy while watching him eat.

8.00pm Still eating fries.

8.05pm Still eating fries. 15 minutes more to go. Kokleong shows signs of giving up because he still has 3/4 of his pile of fries to go.

8.10pm Still eating fries. Kokleong says he's sick of the fries already, it's very ni3 (I dunno what's the English equivalent for the word, hahaha)

8.15pm Ahbeng-looking waiter comes by to tell Kokleong he has 5 minutes left. There's still half of the fries left. Kokleong shows signs of despair and tells us he cannot finish them already, but continues to shovel them into his mouth, one by one.

8.17pm Kokleong resigns himself to his fate but still continues to eat his fries veryyyyy slowlyyyyyy.

8.20pm Ahbeng-looking waiter comes to tell Kokleong his time is up and asks him for his after-meal feelings. The rest of us happily eat the remaining fries. No wonder Kokleong had such a hard time eating it, it has gone cold and is very unappetising. Kokleong says he never wants to eat french fries again.

Haha pardon me if the photo quality is kinda bad. The scanner made it a lil worse. :/ This is my first try at a B&W film camera and I kinda like it :) The darkroom processing was pretty tedious coz almost more than half of the work has to be done in complete darkness (you can't see your fingers ;) ) Took around 3 hrs to learn and process at the same time today. Here are some details for the class chalet...

For those who wanna help out to buy stuffs for the chalet,meet at Pasir Ris MRT control station at 1 pm (tentatively) on 19 Dec.

As for those who wanna check in with us, meet at the same place at 2.15 pm.

The check-in time is 2.30 pm.

The chalet is Coasta Sands(Downtown East),so rmb not to go to the wrong chalet. = )

If I hadn't recalled wrongly, few weeks ago, the buzz word was "moderation!". However, the situation seemed to have changed a little over these 2 days. Not that it had turned much better but at least it was more smoothing to the ears. Photos photos we want to take photos. So well here you go. The highlights and *ahem* extra highlights.

Firstly, we have the birthday girl, Jin Hwee, of course. I would like to kindly remind her her nickname on msn is very outdated. Considering the fact I thought her birthday for tomorrow. Opps.

Secondly, shitty gal's prize presentation. That was really pro of Ms Zeng to present her with a *uhm* minnie? Wtf? But well at least the colour matches shitty gal's skin colour. (I am NOT colour-blind).

Well so that concludes Ms Zeng's last lesson with us. Thanks for the ice-pops and Maths lessons, which me and YS benefitted least from (muahahaha!). We'll remember you ='(

Oh god...Sometimes I really wonder about the genetic makeup of the guys in our class (excluding me 100%). YY, XXY or YXY or YZY? o.O Btw take a good look at Jeromy....

Ahh...while gay activities are been carried out rampantly throughout the class, some photog pros(like the one below) are out to capture what's going on. Shitty gal as next Official Photographer for the Tourism Board of Singapore. It doesn't seem impossible =)

But real pros are different from (act) pro. I think YZY can make Shitty gal lose her job in a day. *pat on the back for YZY* :)

Random event : The last chem lesson just ended suddenly. Could anyone fill up the missing photos + info in between? Thanks.

After Chen's lesson, all the cosinettes headed down to the canteen to have their lunch. However, in the hall, we actually managed to spot some SUPER-cosinettes, who solely survive on Oxygen and Badminton.
After badminton, several cosinettes, including one of the SUPER-cosinettes, went back to class to take a look at their prospects after secondary school life through the window of Sio2, suspected to be made from Superior Quality Crystal Ball Glass. (Coincidentally, Ms Tan HZ told me in the morning she lost her Crystal Ball)

Ah and Lam Wam lesson just ended. Abruptly again. I was so glad she finally let me enjoy my last 1/2 hr of sleep.

Did you hear your scandal alarm beeping again? Cmon' don't pretend LCY. I know you just wanna do it.

Argh buddy. I'm greatly disappointed in you. Unless your hands were on her laps, you really suck. =P

With that great disappointment from LCY, I really have no more mood to type further. today i realised if i step out of horrible, uptight thoughts and what's that phrase again-- smell the roses, or in this sense, smell the class, everything isn't so bad after all.

all the insanity, the lewd jokes and laughter; thank god everyone in class has a sense of humor, that is the thing that superglues us together.

today, ziyi gamely wore his tacky ndp accessories and paraded around;
cue handphones and visualiser camera.
stefan attempts to kiss a pixelated picture of junkai but get his pants pulled down by jeromy in front of a bunch of camera-holding girls: maroon in full glory!

i laughed so hard i forgot i was feeling all burned-out.

It seemed that the canteen wasn't a place big enough for the cosine75s to take photos. So the shooting scene was brought to the track. And the photoshooting session continued, duh!

hey guys, you know every year the graduating sec four classes have this entire page dedicated to their classes, it's our time this year :D

so what we're supposed to do is to imprint our memories in 4C in black and white, and we're required to write a short write-up in english and/or chinese.

what is the write-up about: commerate the class, refer to past yearbooks for ideas.

so we really need ideas, and if you could write a few lines of what this two years in this class means to you it'll be best.
or compose a poem, or write something in chinese, or contribute suggestions.

should we stick to the ordinary and do poems and write sad, cliche stuff about leaving, or should we write something funny, memorable, or worse be sadistic and write an eulogy?

But it is definitely a memorable day for me...

we seemed to have left the warmth in the old campus because it feels cold in the big classroom now.

once upon a time, the molecules in ice are all packed together and vibrate about fixed positions.
then as time goes by, ice gains thermal energy and then they move in clusters and exchange neighbouring positions.

there is no finger-pointing here,
i think everyone just became like that because after a while, all of us wanted to hang out with people who we can relate to.
all of us.
can we press the restart button and go back to before, at the start of the year when we were all innocent and friendly, before we realised our differences and similarities?
can we at least try?

i don't care what you guys might think, but at least this is what i really feel.

i still have people coming up to me and telling me how lucky i was to be in a class full of fun, enthusiastic people. i smile and agree, but then i feel empty.

you guys might disagree with me but really, look beyond that illusion and be an onlooker.

we're a bunch of fantastic people, and we rock.
furthermore we still got a year plus ahead of us together.

Back from the leader's camp!

Just a few things i want to note here.. nothing especially elaborate

1. I now official hate Kiss Goodbye. With the valiant efforts of #30, #7 and a few other enthusiasts (including #38), they have managed to sing (off-tune) the chorus of Kiss Goodbye at least 50 damn times in 2 days. *shakes hand in a familiar up-down motion*

2. I now feel that foodcourt food can be pretty damn crap. That food we had in M'sia is better than what we can have at the JEC foodcourt.. maybe others as well. One side, home-made fishballs that arent springy, but are fragrant. Other side, fishballs that are tough and absolutely suck. Still, im eating a bit of leftover chicken cooked by my dad... so all's not lost for S'pore food. Yet.

3. I now REALLY appreciate our Singapore water supply. We had lack of water (even in M'sia for pete's sake) and even if we had water, it was either white or yellow. Jeez... I didnt even try to bathe the first day, just a washdown with a bit of water. The river water was the best that we could have (and that was good), so decided to take a shower there on the second day instead.

4. Kancheong for wad? I didn't really care much about the leeches (it made my feet feel itchy just to think of them) and I got 0 bites. The ones who were freaking out (eunice yeap?) slowed down to splash/spray vinegar all over their legs, only to give even more leeches a chance to hop on. Solid, man.

5. Some teacher is fairly sick. Stand by the banks and refuse to join in while giving us that spastic amused look. Sadist.

6. Dont try to have a campfire when it was rainy just a day or two ago. The darn fire couldnt really catch until they had poured 2 bottles of oil on it, and left it to burn for quite some time. Nice fire it turned out to be though, even if its timing was rather off (very little light when we were performing, lots and lots of light when we were trying to watch the stars)

hm.. cant think of anything else ATM. blah. Ask in person.

The time now, on typing, is 11.49 pm, 24/06/06. In approximately 32 hours time, the first teacher of the day would be trying to screw us up because so darn many of us did not do homework. To all those who are trying to be nice people, to rush those too many pieces of homework before doomsday arrives, good luck and happy mugging. To all those who dont care enough to be nice, who feel that completing 1 out of ~40 pieces of homework is considered being nice to the teachers(after all, they dont have to mark the rest), good luck too, for survival.

1. Sundays - 52 Sundays in a year, you know Sundays are for rest.
Days left 313.

2. Summer holidays - 50 where weather is very hot and difficult to

4. 1 hour for daily playing- (good for health) means 15 days.

Hey guys and girls.. it just like occurred to me.. that although we are released at 1345 hrs on firday after bio.. that only RVHS MYE are brought forward.. other schools cant really make an impact on amusement centers.. mainly because they are not released yet (as of 1345).. after that although there is a slight increase in number of students from other schools hanging around.. we are still the dominant force around.. so how? Go out and mess about on Friday? Or we all gonna go home and sleep like little piggies..? who cares about the other classes.. if u all insist we can always avoid them by going to places they would not.. or we can go challenge them.. so what do u people think of it?
